This chair was for a private client. Its form hints at Hans Wegner’s “The Chair”, which was an early inspiration for the design. Traditional chair-making techniques, such as shaping with a spokeshave to create the fluid compound curves, have been married with modern joinery techniques that allow strength and lightness to the form.
